Strong and colorful Waxed Cord, excellent for macrame jewelry, for stitching leather by hand, or for many other artisan crafts. Extremely strong, holds its color and shape, burns and melts well for neat finish where needed. Approximately 1mm thick.

Waxed thread can be used for a number of different applications, such as: beadwork, macramé, hand sewing, leatherwork, jewelry making, crafts projects, binding, wrapping.

The wax on the thread provides lubrication that can make sewing easier. 

Use waxed cord to sew anything that can be sewn by hand: awnings, sails, shoes, saddles, bags, brief cases and luggages are some of the possibilities.

Linhasita waxed cord is very strong and it is great for all kind of jewelry and craft making, especially macrame. It makes very nice adjustable necklaces and macrame bracelets.  

The wax applied to waxed cord can affect the color of the thread and make it appear darker. 

Despite its numerous other uses, the waxed cord should never be used for baking or cooking or with a sewing machine.
